Hospitality and Destination Marketing

These two fields have a very similar focus, getting people to the location, and in most cases use the same approaches. Marketing a property today may seem easier today than in the past. In many ways it is. A properly prepared marketing plan in conjunction with your website can bring your marketing message to someone around the world in an instant. That ability also extends to word of mouth advertising. Which is good and bad. It is now possible for an irate customer to spread their negative message around the world. How you respond could lead to further damage. Good comments also have that ability to spread. While it is easier to get your message out in the world, managing that message and getting it to the right people is harder.

Content management as a subset of Hospitality and Destination Marketing is very important. A poorly designed website can lead potential clients away from your site and away from booking with you. Web copy that is confusing could led to problems.
